Taraba: Kefas pledges to offset entitlements of former governors, deputies

Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas has promised to pay all the pensions and other entitlements to former governors of the State and their deputies.

He stated this, weekend, while playing host to former governor Jolly Nyame and his former deputy, Alhaji Armanyau Abubakar, at the Government House, Jalingo, the State capital.

The Governor said his administration would do everything to clear all the backlogs left by his predecessors.

He stressed the need for the people, irrespective of religious, political and tribal affiliations to come together for the interest of the State.

“It is the collective responsibility of every Taraban to come up with their wealth of experience to contribute their quarter to development of the State,” he said.

While applauding Kefas, Nyame pledged his unflinching support to the incumbent administration in the State.

He lauded the effort of the Governor, who according to him, has been carrying all the people of the state along irrespective of their political and religious differences.
