Two vegetarians and animal rights campaigners have expressed their concerns about the endangerment of human lives due to the consumption of animal products polluted by irresponsible breeders.

Raymond Opia, an academic based in the United Kingdom and a vegetarian, explained that diseases like anthrax can arise from animals being fed the wrong things, as they are supposed to survive on vegetables and grains. He pointed out that recent outbreaks of Anthrax are not unexpected, as farmers in Europe are feeding cattle, chicken, pigs, and other animals with insects and other animals to promote rapid growth. This has led to the development of strange diseases in these animals.
They spoke exclusively to DAILY POST in separate interviews on the heels of the outbreak of anthrax and warnings from the government for all to be wary of the meats they consume.
Opia strongly advocated for everyone to adopt a vegetarian lifestyle and stop consuming meat from dead animals. He also highlighted that pandemics like COVID-19 have been traced back to animals. He suggested living on lentils, grains, vegetables, and fruits to maintain good health and look younger.

“The recent outbreak of anthrax is not unexpected given that cattle, chicken, pigs and other animals are now fed with insects and other animals mixed in their food. This, according to the farmers in Europe, is to have rapid growth. These cattle, chicken, pigs, goats, and others fed with strange foods have developed strange diseases as a result.”
“COVID-19 and other ailments which caused pandemics have been traced to animals.
“Why don’t we live on lentils, grains, vegetables, fruits and be healthy and look younger every day?”
A clergyman, also a vegetarian and animal specialist, Parkson Edjeketa, disclosed that the bacteria in dreaded anthrax is also found in soil.
“It is not only plant based diets of vegetarians or vegans that can be infected, but livestock and wildlife as well.”
He advised that abstinence from meat consumption can be the panacea to averting anthrax diseases.
He also noted that these strange diseases, such as AIDS, Diabetes, Kwashiorkor, cancer, Asthma, TB, etc., are God’s punishments for man’s disobedience.
Also reacting to the anthrax outbreak, a traditional ruler who is an Archbishop, Evans Nwansi from Imo State, said, “Let’s not be academic about the outbreak of this disease.
“The Holy Spirit is poised to enforce His will on earth as it is in heaven. This occurrence is therefore part of the imperatives He has set in motion towards achieving that purpose.”
