The currently overwhelming wave around Naira Marley started during the era of his case with the EFCC.
Since that time, it has been all the way up for the singer asmillions of Nigerian youths now seem to be acclimatised by his style of music and at the same time amused by his style of life. Since the end of his saga with the EFCC, Naira Marley has dropped 2 songs, “Opotoyi” & “Soapy” which have done amazingly well on the streets. Infact, the latter came with a dance style that caused a lot of controversy on the internet as the dance was tagged by many people to be a virus that could destroy the morals of Nigerian youths.
However, others found it interesting and adopted it as a dance-style they must always exhibit on the dance floor. This made the song even blow out of proportion and set it on the part to being a serious contender for song of the year. Fast-forward to the 11th of September, 2019, Naira Marley took to his Instagram page to announce a new song and video to drop soon but revealed he would only release it if he gets a hundred thousand comments. That shocked a whole lot of people as they feel that could be impossible to achieve or at least might take ‘forever.’ But that thought got defeated as Naira Marley was able to rack up over a 100 thousand comments in just only 16-hours.
This stunned a lot of people, making them come to a conclusion that there wouldn’t be any need for sentiments or bias opinions about the superiority of Naira Marley to other artistes on the streets. They immediately came to terms with the fact that a new king of the street has been born, someone who has dethroned Olamide from the seat he’s been on for almost a decade, someone that has dominated every other artiste on the streets, someone whose street credibility cannot be rivalled. They have come to understand that a new true champion of the hood has been crowned. And that champion is NAIRA MARLEY.

MI Abaga’s “The Viper” VS Vector’s “Judas The Rat” – Who Is Winning This Rap Battle?
The beef between two of the greatest rappers in Nigerian Hip-Hop history has been existing for a long time, but its effect on the music industry in general has been mild until about a month ago when MI dropped a cypher for Martell alongside Loose Kanyon, Blaqbonez & AQ.
MI dropped a whole verse that Vector felt was directed as a diss at him. But as a lyrical monster and rap genius that he is, Vector felt it wouldn’t be a sensible thing to keep quiet and watch without making a counter-attack. And just some days after, Vector got in the studio with Payper & Vader on “The Purge,” to try to put some things straight with MI. At this point was when everything became explosive as the internet got shaken. People started clearing the field as they knew a battle that could end up being the biggest battle in Nigeria’s Hip-Hop history was imminent.
A lot of people gave opinions on the internet propagating the fact that Vector murdered MI on “The Purge,” thereby requesting that if MI wanted to protect his legacy and the “best rapper ever” tag, he’s got to reply. MI however listened days after, dropping a massive record; “The Viper,” in which many people agreed shattered Vector’s response as they felt he truly slain the Lafiaji rapper.
However, like a game of Ping Pong, fans wanted “the egg” to go back and forth. They revealed with MI’s “The Viper,” Vector was left a track behind in being on par with “The Chairman” in what has been turned a rap battle by rap fanatics. The rap industry had paused other activities, channeling their energy in pushing Vector to make a comeback. That energy finally becomes productive today, October 11, 2019 as Vector releases a response-track; “Judas The Rat” to address MI’s “The Viper.”
As expected, the internet has been blown up! People have started to compare which of the two rappers are winning the battle. Some believe MI is having the upper-hand while others think Vector is actually ‘killing’ him. What do you think?

Davido’s DMW F.C VS Wizkid’s Star Boy F.C – See First Eleven, Which Has The Deadlier Squad?
We thought of 2 of the biggest record labels in Africa, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) and Starboy Worldwide being football teams and we decided to make a squad with all of the record label artistes and some of the closest allies of the record labels.
The results came in interestingly as we were able to make a first eleven squad of all the artistes and associates that came to mind with Davido and Wizkid spearheading the attacks of both teams and Asa Asika & Sunday Are who are both artistes’ managers taking up the coaching duties. However, we imaging these two as football teams coming head-to-head in a match, who do you think would win? And also Which Team Do You Think Has The Better Squad of The Two teams?
