“FOREVER WITH YOU” – Ochada Martina Chidinma

Hold my hands and let me hold thine
Together let work down the aisle
I promise to be the best I can be
As long as you’re always there for me

For better and better, for richer and richer
One happy family with our son and daughter
I pray God takes you greater
So you come home to us with a smile wider

I may not have the rings,I may not be on my knees
But will you marry me still?
You said those words when we were just kids
And the whole world stands still as I watch it happen real

A new journey I start with you today
As we invite God’s presence to stay
And though there will be troubles and tribulations
May we stick together and be a lesson to generations

   Ochada Martina Chidinma.

How Sarz Became Africa’s Foremost Producer & Wizkid’s Right-Hand Man, See Several Awards Nominations & Victories

Sarz’s interest in music began during his childhood with the influence of legendary American producer Timbaland. He sold his first beat at just fifteen years old and was catapulted into the mainstream music scene after his production for Lord of Ajasa’s “See Drama”. Producing “Kako bi Chicken” for Reminisce saw a turning point in his career when the song became one of Africa’s biggest street songs in 2011.

The following year, record label giants, EME, chose Beats By Sarz as the producer of their compilation album “Empire State Of Mind”, where he made these popular hits: “Get Down Tonight”, “Ko Mo Le”, “Dance For Me” and “My baby”.

In 2010, Sarz produced the hit single “Jor Oh” along with its remix for artist, Jahbless, which featured Durella, RuggedMan, Reminisce, Ice Prince and eLDee. The song won “Best Street Hop” award and was nominated for “Best Collaboration” at The Headies. In 2011, he went on to produce Shank’s “Salute”, eLDee’s “Today” & “Wash Wash”, Skales “Mukulu”, Goldie Harvey’s “Don’t Touch My Body” and Reminisce’s “Kako Bi Chicken,” “Kako Bi Chicken” was nominated for “Best Street Hop” at The Headies, 2012. Later that year, he solely produced eLDee’s “Undeniable” album (except for the track “We Made It”).

Sarz was nominated for Nigeria Entertainment Awards 2012 “Producer Of The Year” award alongside Don Jazzy. Although Don Jazzy won the award, Don Jazzy declined the award and insisted it go to Sarz. Sarz would later win the “Best New Producer” award at the 2012 Dynamix Awards. He went on to release his first single “Beat of Life (Samba)” featuring Nigerian Artiste, Wizkid off his album.

In 2013, he produced 2 songs off Wizkid’s ‘Ayo’ Album, “Jaiye Jaiye” featuring Femi Kuti as well as the track, “Kilofe”.  He was mentioned as one of the five new music producers giving Don Jazzy a run for his money by the Premium Times Nigeria. Sarz was reported to have signed an endorsement deal with Nike later that Year. He became the executive producer for the official Hennessy Artistry 2014 theme song titled “Dance Dey Go (Eau De Vie)” which featured Wizkid and 2Face Idibia.

Sarz’s unique and innovative way of beat making has allowed him to work with some of the most accomplished musicians in the world including Drake, Banky W, Chris Brown, and Beenie Man.

Declining to be boxed into genre-specific beats, his distinctive methodology of producing has allowed him to break new talent, notably, nineteen-year-old singer, Flash, with the contemporary dance infused Afropop song “Get Up”.

Osabuohien Osaretin was born in Benin City into a family of 3 children. He attended All Saints Primary School and had his high school education at Goodwill Secondary School.

Sarz describes his entry into the music scene as a mistake; attributing his love for music and his ability to remember a beat in detail after hearing it piqued his interest in music production.

D’banj’s “The Entertainer” album was released on the 11th day of September, 2008 with it consisting 10 awesome records.

D’banj dropped this album after establishing himself as a superstar artiste within the Nigerian music industry after returning to Nigeria from London alongside his then partner and superstar music producer, Don Jazzy. The album had hit songs such as, “Gbona Feli Feli,” Olorun Maje,” “Suddenly,” “Fall In Love,” “Igwe” and others.

“The Entertainer” was a huge success as it sold millions of copies and got blasted on speakers across the continent in homes, parties and other social events.

“Gongo Aso” is 9ice’s second studio album and it was released in the same year D’banj dropped “The Entertainer.” The album just like D’banj’s had a lot of hit songs too.

Songs like “Gongo Aso,” “Wedding Day,” “Party Rider,” “Photocopy,” “Street Credibility” and many more were jams that rocked the whole country. This album was a commercial success too even though it is majorly made up of Yoruba compositions.

This is the album that shot 9ice to limelight, an album that endeared him to both young and adult fans, an album that made him a music icon.

Dj Cuppy News

DJ Cuppy – An Epitome Of Talent & Hardwork, A Victim Of Undeserving Hatred, A ‘Headache’ Of Many Nigerians

DJ Cuppy’s resilience and hard-work are what have established the superstar DJ as one of the most famous music personalities within the Nigerian music industry and outside of it.

Referred to by some as the female version of Davido, Cuppy just like the music superstar is from a privileged background but has to live and thrive inside regular, hateful comments.

It has become a norm in this part of the world that people just naturally feel hatred for any privileged person who is thriving absolutely well amongst people from humble (poor) background. It is believed that once you are a rich kid and you are doing so well for yourself, your success must have been as a result of the fact that your family’s riches is what has made you breakthrough.

Your talent, skill, resourcefulness, diligence, innovation, creativity, time-dedication, bravery, confidence and risk-taking decisions would be less regarded or ultimately ganged-up-against, while your wealthy background would not be even used to celebrate your success but instead be used to spite you and what ever you have achieved.

The reason why that has come to be is really beyond what i can imagine and it constantly baffles me that some people find it as the easiest of things to do.

Not moving anywhere away from the topic, DJ Cuppy absolutely fits into the shoes of someone whose personal values are constantly not appreciated but rather gets the stick for being the daughter of a billionaire.

Truth be told, Cuppy isn’t the best of singers or the most talented of music artistes, but first, it has to be agreed that she isn’t a musician but a disc-jockey. I know questions like “when she knows she doesn’t know how to sing, why then does she sing?” would have filled your hearts, it is normal, but you have to understand that everyone always would feel the urge at some point in time to try something new.

She has felt the urge to delve into part-time singing which is a show of her bravery, and it has paid-off well for her. Let’s do a little bit of illustration, if a student gets correctly 4 out of 6 questions in an examination, what does it mean? it means the student has simply passed the test, right?

It even makes it a lot easier within the music industry. DJ Cuppy had 6 songs prior to the release of “Gelato” featuring Zlatan, out of those 6, you can lay claims to 4 that made and still make music fans feel good. “Green Light” ft Tekno was a hit, “Vybe” ft Sarkodie was big in Ghana, “Abena” ft Kwesi Arthur, Ceeza Milli & Shaydee is a hit, “Currency” ft L.A.X also bangs. All these songs are signs that Cuppy is not just only a big asset within the music industry but an inspiration to a lot of people, especially young females and therefore should be appreciated rather than despised. As a matter of cat, not even a lot of Nigerian male musicians can boast of having 4 hit songs out of 6.

Let’s even shift our gazes away from her involvement in making music and let’s focus briefly on her primary job which is disc-jockeying. As a DJ, Cuppy has been able to perform at places where even some of the male DJs can only dream of, which is a sign of how skilled she is when it comes to scratching her fingers off in order to become the life of a party. She’s performed at the One Music Africa Fest, recently concluded Afro-Nation Fest in Portugal, Davido’s 30 Billion Concert, Pepsi Rhythm Unplugged, MTV Africa Music Awards, Financial Times Luxury Summit in Mexico, Tatler & Christie’s Art Ball in London and many more.

Apart from the awesome places she’s performed at, i have witnessed her perform at events and it must be told that she truly is skilled.

Cuppy’s consistent hard-work has led her to drop another single, “Gelato” with rave of the moment, Zlatan. The song as expected is getting a lot of thumbs-down which i do not second. I feel it’s a great song and one that would penetrate the street and make legs to move with skill and at quick pace. In as much as the song was not done with the intention to spread motivational messages or inspire anyone that feels in disagreement with what he/she is getting from life but strictly for the dance-floor, then it’s a perfect jam. Cuppy should however be appreciated more for her smartness to convert a moment of fun with her dad in Italy to a song. Another sign of innovation and bravery.

Conclusively, Cuppy is a huge ambassador of not just Nigerian or African entertainment in general, but also an inspiration for every young woman out there who seeks motivation to achieving the impossible and therefore, she should be celebrated not bullied.

F.F.T: Nigerians should have a change of heart towards  people who are privileged, hate is one of the biggest pioneers of stagnation or backwardness. It does not allow you move forward, especially when the person you hate constantly and consistently achieves success, it holds you to ransom and may eventually make you delve into what would destroy you.

Spread love and be happy for someone who does better than you, so your free & happy heart would lead you to a land full of milk and honey.

Davido’s 30 Billion Gang Chain Now 4,000 Naira In Lagos Traffic || Watch Hilarious Moment Between A Buyer & Seller

Davido’s 30 billion gang chain has been seen by some Nigerians to be sold for 4,000 naira in a Lagos traffic.

A video of the transaction between a potential buyer and seller has stormed the internet which has got a lot of people rolling on the floor with laughter.

The chain which definitely is a camouflage of the ones Davido and his gang always have on their necks looks exactly like the original piece which was made by a luxury jewellery designer popularly known as Ice Box in Atlanta, United States.

It is however shocking that talented Nigerians have now made it easy for those who direly wants to get the chain to finally get a hold of a chain that is worth over 3 million naira at a ridiculously meagre fee of 4,000 naira only.

What would be Davido’s reaction when he finally gets to see this? It must really be hilarious

Watch video of funny conversation between the potential buyer and seller below:
